The current vision of developing a business, in any area, requires a very clear vision of the processes and a secure form of communication between the actors involved, an efficient and modern analysis methodology so that it is profitable for those who invest in them. It is necessary to define the sources of information and this is determined at the contractual level as a measurable and safe strategy for those who carry it out.

The current economic context demands increasing quality from the market. The speed of time and the competitiveness of the market itself make our businesses need more and more professionals committed to quality in all its aspects and with high training in different subjects.

We must tackle a new way of organizing and coordinating work and a universal methodology is necessary. The approach of a company with these characteristics must be allied with technology and innovation to accompany these processes. Constant training is necessary to be able to address it.

In this sense, BIM is a work methodology that allows interested parties involved in a construction process to design, execute and operate a building in a collaborative process, providing centralized information for the management of the complete construction life cycle, providing greater efficiency in the development of solutions in a functional, sustainable and optimized from the economic point of view.

Increasing productivity thanks to automation in data extraction, enables greater agility in the face of changes, reducing time and costs.

Brings the client closer to the employer, improving the understanding of the client and the resolution of doubts about the project and its constructibility. Higher quality information is delivered, information generated during the construction process in a structured way, with greater guarantees and with the appropriate format to be used in decision-making throughout the entire process.


BIM is developing in Uruguay in an increasingly favorable way and opening opportunities to clients at an international level.

One of the main advantages of BIM is collaborative work. Through a single platform, the different agents involved in the construction process can work in the same tool, integrating and sharing information in real time.

BIM has changed the way of working, making remote work possible. Management processes have been modified, which reduce costs and are more efficient.

In our country there are highly trained professionals at an international level who currently provide outsourcing services on a regular basis to different parts of the world.

The public sectors, through government policies, and the private sectors are working in a coordinated manner to accelerate the processes of implementation of the BIM methodology, which is considered a favorable aspect to position the country competitively in the use of short-term methodology.

In turn, in 2018 BIM Forum Uruguay was officially launched as an organization, whose purpose is to promote and accelerate the process of adoption and implementation of the BIM methodology in the country through research, dissemination and training activities in the construction industry. both in the public sector, in the private sector and in academia.

Why MDT Arquitectura

We are an incipient company, in constant growth and training.

As CEO of the study, I am currently studying the Master in BIM Management and integrated design for the University of Barcelona through Gestor Energético Econova and the IL3 Continuous Training Institute.

I represent the company Gestor Energético in Uruguay regarding the advice of the Master in BIM Management and Integrated Design as well as the Postgraduate in BIM Management.

We are members of BIM Forum Uruguay and we are constantly participating in BIM training events both locally and internationally.

We use BIM as a methodology in all projects that enter the study for the execution of executive documentation and information management. In addition, we provide BIM consulting services to local companies, which are mainly owners and see the benefits obtained through the implementation of the methodology and how their productivity increases.

We are beginning to work internationally in strategic alliances with architecture studios and companies from Barcelona and the region regarding advice on the implementation and start-up of BIM.
